The '28 Creekside Curator's Tudor

The Ihle’s are new parents, which generally means instead of pots of plants donning the corners and hallways, there are baskets of laundry. And instead of carefully curated artwork there is carefully curated crayon graffiti. When DRF (Design in Rare Form) walked into this creekside Tudor the first thing she saw was the immense potential.

Walls that were begging for art and ceilings that were crying out for modern lighting - the language of DRF.

part of curating the space when getting ready to sell is bringing in color and elements that make the spaces stand out among other houses on the market.

well curated flowers are an art form that cannot be matched! Ihles flowers tie into the art with subtle color and texture making even the most mundane hallway interest. - DRF

With a spacious kitchen and a few updates the Ihle’s kitchen was almost complete. A few minor changes that are desired of any South Minneapolis home included adding more counter space, increased storage by adding floating shelves and adding ventilation over the range. Aesthetic updates include; updated cabinet color, tile, hardware and laying new hardwoods. When the right colors and textures are chosen thoughtfully these updates can take a kitchen to the next level.

We decided to center the range and add prep space on both sides. The idea was to make the space more functional for the future owners!”

I wish we would have done the kitchen before we decided to move so we could have enjoyed it a little longer. - Chelsea, Homeowner

When it comes to location in Minneapolis - this is it. This 1928 tudor sits 1 block from the four-season wonder that is Minnehaha Creek, a short walk or bike ride to Lake Nokomis and has direct connection to the many bike trails that zig-zag through Minneapolis’ chain of lakes.
