purveyors press: untapped potential, it rests in every classic home, that is really the core of what rare form delivers when listing time arrives, the more scarce and unique the structure is, the greater impact our improvements, or undoing bad improvements becomes for the owner of record. Ihles inked the deed of the Weller in winter of 2018.
chelsea & joe have an unyielding trust in rare form from design to execution; this results in an unfiltered regalia of detail that is executed without the common defensive undue influence of a choosy, opinionated owner. the weller is a celebration of turn of the century victorian architecture. for the sake of architecture, sans trend.
The Ihles are unintentional architectural climbers, departing one stoic tudor in hale steps south of creek, for this unicorn victorian with 9’ ceilings on both floors that is a boomerang to harriet in lynnhurst.
For energies sake, this is one we would like to keep in the family, and one that our entire team took very personally in preparing for torch pass, a refreshing true purveyor client is always appreciated: enthusiast owners that take the high road on all fronts of improvement, design and execution, insisting our craft trades are supplied with a rider, taking the role of promoter, assuring the main artists had everything they needed to succeed.
the ‘weller’ is named acutely as such, for the level of cask aging time is forward on the senses when addressing her interior. william morris paper was selected by the DRF to ensure a timeless and respectful addition to the dining hall of grandeur. douglas fir porch floors were restored for torch pass, carefully curated victorian era castings were mated from our suppliers to give the weller the amber glow she so desperately warrants.
Were thankful for the team on this presentation, the winner of Weller will bear the fruits of truly passionate trades: Waldo & Odlaw your drive and passion for restoration, Deidre Webster for your artful creativity and period appropriate selections that truly define your respect for the architects of yesteryear, lastly and most critical Anya Kordonowy for your impassioned daily drive in tower control of execution.
