Bluebird of Minnehaha
The latest listing in Rare Form: box car built in 1927 , the ‘Bluebird’ is an open and light filled California Bungalow. Her interior detail was captained by RFP and completed by the sellers & craft trades!
She is approachable at $307,999, and we will be reviewing offers this monday.
“Be the owner of record”- what is the origin of this mantra at RFP?
The owner of record in a series of deed transfers, are the ones that the neighbors always refer back to: “jordan & barry made that bungalow sparkle, the changes they made were so magnificent”
Enter Jordan & Barry, the ‘bluebird’ was their first landmark of period correct triumphs to come.
Suburban roots like many teenagers of the 90’s, Jordan & Barry were drawn to Minneapolis from childhood, as weekend trips into the city for picnics and parks and enjoying grand rounds in their early 20’s made them quickly aware that life in the city was more fulfilling.
Barry left several voicemails for us in fall of 2019 (my least preferred channel of comms) as they embarked on a remodel of their bungalow’s main floor.
Photos speak 1000’s of descriptors, however this is a story of trusting the process. They completed a design drafted by Deidre Webster, in flawless execution modernizing the original spaces in their kitchen and bath.
The amplification happened early-on, as they expressed a desire to have professional guidance of their restoration, resulting in a curated bungalow that lives much larger than its footprint on the planet.
We conquered a common hurdle of the galley kitchen, widening the boxed opening to 40 inches. The bathroom was completed with a moody enameled paneling all black hardware and nordic simplicity.
