Mudras Spanish thoroughbred of 1928

Spanish Architecture is the most refined collaboration of classical architecture influences, a refinement of earlier Stickney era craftsman, the most heightened iteration from the tudor era, right before the great depression ended the era of slow refined structures.

Enter Mudra’s Spanish Thoroughbred: we hand selected this home for them nearly a decade ago, and she is one of the most ornate examples of the time period in all of Minneapolis. Prior to the Mudras, this stallion was lovingly cared for decades by the Rochats since 1984. Much of this bristol originality is owed to them, for enduring through the 90s-00s and resisting the trend chasing on the remodel.

A true Architecture Enthusiast Alert, one of the nicest Spanish era homes in the country. Erected in ‘28, the original owner was believed to be the stucco masonry contractor that produced some of the more elaborate tudor era homes in Mpls throughout the 20s-30s.

Her trimmings are worldly from a mason’s perspective:  masters union masonry throughout, fortitude beyond any other classic home: barreled living room, her unicorn is a pillow vaulted dining hall, arched stairwells and foyer, rope molding, textured poured forms on three levels...

Mudras have a discerning ownership record, completing the heavy lifting on many fronts for the next owner: marble kitchen remodel with commercial appliances, mosaic bath with custom vanity & limestone terrazzo floors,  ducted central AC added in 2019, modern boiler, attached 1 car and detached 2.5 car.

The photos speak for themselves, do contact us shortly for a tour before she is spoken for!

We procured this home for the Mudra’s nearly a decade ago, seeing is believing, and we’re live this coming weekend. A Bristol Mediterranean Legacy play, proudly presented for torch pass by the design and craft trades at Rare Form.
